Missions

A women’s group that offers supportive fellowship and participation in global ministries. Come join one of our small groups, called Circles, to make some lifelong friends.

At Family of Faith, we take Jesus’ command to “feed my sheep” seriously.

One way we live this out is through our annual God’s Sheep Community Christmas Dinner. This offers a unique opportunity to engage the less fortunate of our community.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Family of Faith houses an AA group, which meets weekly and is open to the public. The group meets on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00pm.

Faith Development

At Family of Faith, an emphasis is placed on continually striving to deepen our relationship with God. As a result, we offer several opportunities for faith development through such avenues as scripture studies and Sunday morning faith development classes, as well as various mission and ministry opportunities.

Free Lunch Program

For over 28 years, volunteers at our church have been serving free meals the last two Wednesdays of every month. The meals are served from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. It is open to everyone and held in the Fellowship Hall of the church.

Masters Crafters

Master’s Crafters is a fun-loving, dedicated group of people who gather on a regular basis to create beautiful shawls and men’s lap robes for people in need as a ministry of comfort and support.

Neighborhood Ministry

Just as Christ’s ministry was one of engaging people in the midst of their daily lives, Family of Faith works to be involved in the lives of our neighbors through ministries like National Night Out Against Crime, Free Lunches, God’s Sheep Community Christmas Dinner, Open-M, Lighthouse of Hope and the University Park Alliance.

Neighborhood Network of University Park (NNUP)

Family of Faith takes a leading role in the Neighborhood Network of University Park (NNUP). NNUP is grass roots community organization whose mission is to build a unified voice to renew the University Park community which is roughly a 50 block area surrounding the University of Akron. We do this by advocating on behalf of the community with government officials on important issues as well as creating place-making opportunities such as community concerts, flea markets and more which help develop as sense of community identity and pride.
